Resident Reviews

submitted by Tanner R. - |Recommended: YesAffordable and quality living — The apartments are all quite nice and reasonably priced for the quality of living. Everything was clean and relatively well maintained when we moved in. The small fenced in area for dogs is a HUGE attraction for any apartment residing dog owner. The pool is also arguably the nicest pool in Lawrence so the amenities are an attractive bonus to say the least. Last, as a commuter, the location near the highway is especially convenient and campus Mass street are not as far away as it seems initially.
response from property -Tanner, Thank you so much for the review! I'm glad that you enjoy living at Hunters' Ridge. Melinda, Mgr

submitted by Ilana E. - |Recommended: YesVery responsive to maintenance and lovely place to live — Nicest apartments in Lawrence and the management is very responsive to needs. Would very much recommend Great appliances and appealing look. Pretty quiet community and they are good about clearing the sidewalks after snow ice.
response from property -Thank you, Ilana. We appreciate you choosing to call Hunters' Ridge home. Melinda, Mgr
submitted by Brecken B. - |Recommended: YesSafe, clean, pleasant, homey, quiet — I tend to forget I live in an apartment complex because my neighbors are so quiet and the floor plan feels like a home. It's easy to request maintenance, the office staff is helpful and pleasant, and the amenities are wonderful. There is a bit of an issue with insulation, so my apartment loses heat and a c. Overall, a very nice place to live.
response from property -Brecken, The open floor plan does make the apartment feel very much like a home. You have cathedral ceilings in your home. The high ceilings make the apartment feel so much bigger but can have an impact on your electric bill. Thanks for making Hunters' Ridge your home! Melinda, Mgr

submitted by Rosana G. - |Recommended: YesOverall, great place to live — Having lived in cities all over the country, Hunters' Ridge is one of the best places I've called home. From the beginning of my search for an apartment in Lawrence, the management has been kind, professional, and if it's within their ability, will do all they can to be flexible and understanding. The lower deposit is nice, especially considering that this is an expensive place to live. While the layout and finishings of the apartment are nice, you are definitely paying for the amenities of the complex. As for the community itself, I rarely have issues or concerns. In fact, one time I left my keys in my door and one of my neighbors called security, who then came by to let me know. Considering my keys had been in my door for HOURS, this could have turned out very differently. Additionally, any time I have maintenance issues, they are acknowledged and typically fixed within 24 hours. The biggest thing I'd change about HR is the pet fee rent -- it's really expensive. 300 upfront and 50 a MONTH in pet rent, even for a cat. I have wanted to get a pet all three years I've been living here, but haven't because that would push my monthly bill to them well over 900 -- and I live in the smallest apartment style.
response from property -Thank you for the 5-star review! I appreciate the feedback on the pet fees. We understand the pet fees may seem to be expensive and for that reason, there are not been an increase in pet fees for 3 years. The management team works hard every day to provide our residents with a community they can be proud to call home. WIth gratitude, Melinda, Manager

The office staff is wonderful, and Amanda is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the property. If you ever have a maintenance request, they respond and get it taken care of immediately. The apartments are very spacious and updated. We love living here.

submitted by Adrienne S. - |Recommended: YesQuiet, Great Place to Live — Hunter's Ridge in Lawrence, KS has been a great place to live. My apartment was incredibly clean upon move-in, and the staff has always been friendly and responsive. I really haven't had any maintenance issues, but the one or two small problems I've had were addressed quickly and resolved after one visit from maintenance. The pool and workout facilities are clean and well maintained. The layout and fixtures are nice, and I rarely hear my neighbors. I do wish you had the choice to renew your lease early at the current rate, as I've had this offered other places and it was a nice option to have. Perhaps this is something they would be open to offering in the future. Otherwise, nothing but positive feedback from me.
response from property -Thank you for the 5-star review! I will send you an email in regards to your request to renew early. Thanks for choosing to call Hunters' Ridge home. Melinda, Mgr
submitted by Amanda A. - |Recommended: YesOverall, great place to live — Overall everything is great Maintenance is always pleasant and quick to finish jobs. The grounds always look nice and I like the layout of the apartment. If I were to suggest any changes then it would just be that I wish there was an open table with chairs available in the office. I try to study at home but often create distractions so I have to drive across town to find a coffee shop or park somewhere on campus and walk. My major requires alot of time and it would be beneficial and convenient if I could use the office here as a place to study and more than just a place to print things off. There is not enough room to study at the computers and would be helpful if there was an actual open table with appropriate chairs. Overall though, I cannot complain and I've been living her 1.5 years.
response from property -Amanda, Thank you for the review. I appreciate your suggestion about having a table in the business center. I will pass on this suggestion and see what we can do it get a table in the space. Thank you for choosing to call Hunters' Ridge your home for the last 1.5 years. Melinda, Manager

submitted by Gregory W. - |Recommended: YesClean and well made maintained apartments, with professional staff. — A great apartment that feels like a home rather than an apartment. Great fixtures and layout to the apartment. Updated appliances, counters etc. put it a step above the rest. The staff is very professional, the facilities are clean, and the location is very safe. You can hear your neighbors walking above you at times, but not so much their voices or music etc. The parking spots can be small, and sometimes you have to park a a building or two away from your building. These are minuscule issues, and the pros of Hunters Ridge way outweighs the cons. A great place for families, young professionals, and anyone who wants a great place to live.
response from property -Gregory, Thank you for the 5-star review! We appreciate you choosing to call Hunters' Ridge home. Melinda, Manager

submitted by Katelyn R. - |Recommended: YesGreat place to live — I moved from out of state, and have loved it here. When I first moved in there were a few things that needed to be fixed. They were all fixed within 2 days of moving in. Everyone people in the front office and maintenance men have all been extremely nice and helpful when any questions or concerns have come about. It is also a great commute to Topeka. I honestly do not have anything bad to say about the apartment complex or management.
response from property -Katelyn, Thank you for the 5-star review! The maintenance team appreciates the kind words too. Thank you for choosing to call Hunters' Ridge home. Best regards, Melinda, Mgr
